Everyone knows that Dimetri dies..... (I NO SO SAD)

If rose ever kills him. Could Lissa bring him back to life? Maybe he could go back to a normal person? Could he be normal again? Is it possible?

Let me know that thought came into my head so...

AFAIC, we don't know for sure that Dimitri died or turned Strigoi. It is certainly IMPLIED that he has turned Strigoi. Like I said, I am really hoping that Mason is unreliable as a source and that he was wrong. And then he can fade away into the abyss or wherever it is that souls go in this series.

But it is an interesting question. If Lissa could heal someone who had turned Strigoi, and had been staked...would they turn back to what they were before becoming Strigoi? I'm betting that if she COULD, it would require a crapload of her power and leave her a) drained/exhausted and/or b) nutsy...you know how they go insane when they use their power.

But Rose could technically "take it" (the craziness) from Lissa right?
Not that we would want Rose to suffer either, but it might be possible...

Yes Rose can siphon off the crazy. But so far, she's had a great deal of trouble casting the crazy to the four winds.

That's a question I've been asking myself. I desperately want Lissa or Adrian to be able to heal Dimitri, however I get the impression that Spirit can only heal/bring something back to life when that something retains its original form. Sure Dimitri might still look like Dimitri but if he is Strigoi he's essentially be 'changed'. Can you bring back the soul of someone who won't be suited within a strigoi body?
Or perhaps, once healed, he'll have to remain out of the sunlight and drink blood and such, but be protected from being 'strigoi'.

I hope that made sense.

That's a good question, one I've wondered about myself. I kept thinking everything would be fine if Adrian healed Dimitri; then not only would Dimitri be alive but Adrian would have someone to help him with his shadows too and Dimitri would truly understand what Rose is going through. But something in me still doesn't believe a healing would work, not for something as big as returning a Strigoi to the land of the living (in more than a living-dead sense). I fear that if a Spirit user can bring a Strigoi back to life it'll cost them their own life, healing a wound takes a fair bit of engery and Lissa almost died herself bringing Rose back to life; so I can only imagine what would happen trying to bring everything back to someone who's altered so much. Rose wouldn't be willing to risk Lissa's life, and though I really don't like thinking is, I wonder if Adrian would do it to prove his love for Rose?

Yeah, I don't think healing would really work either. I think the only way for Dimitri to recover his soul would be for Rose to retreave it in some way through her link with the dead/spirits.
However, if Adrian did die trying to prove his love to Rose, I think I would all-out breakdown. He can't =[

I'd never thought of that possibility. It would make sense that Rose might be able to retrieve it in some way. Wait, would that mean that Rose will be able to see Dimitri's ghost then, because technically he's no longer living?
I don't want Adrian to do it either, it would kill me.

I have discussed a similar theory with someone else on another forum. with the title of the following book being Spirit bound we think Adrian will somehow use his power to bring back Dimitri. Dimitri would now be shadow kissed to Adrian and there for be able to read Adrian's thoughts. It got funny when the thought of Dimitri reading Adrian's illicit thoughts about rose "I have a good imagination" would drive Dimitri crazy. Adding a humerous element to the story. But I also agree that Adrian does genuinely care for rose and Dimitri will also see that side of him.

i hope that happens cause i dont think anyone really want Dimitri dead but if i doesn't happen or work then i think rose she give Adrian a chance !!!
