Speaking of Natalie... Doesn't it seem odd that, even after becoming Strigoi, she was still faithful towards her father? And, even though Christian's parents attacked their own family (Tasha), they still cared for Christian. I mean, they didn't want to hurt him, they wanted to keep him and change him. Could that give us a little hope? Maybe Dimitri isn't one hundred percent monster (yet).
But I don't believe in an ending where Rose turns Strigoi as well, to be with him. It would be way too Stephenie Meyer, first of all, it doesn't seem Richelle's style. Secondly, it wouldn't go well at all with the whole story.

I don't see Rose turning Strigoi either. I don't want Dimitri to be evil/undead/whatever. What would be wrong with a happy ending? Rose and Dimitri belong together.

There is more than enough of that "deep life lesson" stuff in real life. I read these kinds of books to escape!

I do hope Richelle ends the series with Rose and Dimitri together. It would be a huge dissapointment if not. I agree that there are way to many "life lessons" in the real world and i think all of us read these stories to escape.

If Dimitri has been turned Strigoi i was thinking that he would not kill Rose when she finds him and that Rose DEFINATELY wont kill him. That maybe Lissa, Christian and Adrian will find her and help. That maybe between Lissa and Adrian they can find a way to reverse the Stigoi in Dimitri and it will just show even more how much Adrian would do anything for Rose by giving her what she wants the most.... Dimitri.. and sacraficing what he wants the most... Rose.

Maybe they will find a way of instead of killing the Strigoi that they could reverse it for all the people who have been turned agaisnt thier will.... but maybe thats wishing for too much of a happy ending.

The only thing is, IF Dimitri was turned...he may ask or beg Rose to kill him. I seem to recall a conversation like that between them. It was related to the Mrs. Karp thing. The upshot of the conversation was, "the best thing you can do for a Strigoi is to stake them". (I'm assuming that was for Strigoi that were changed against their will.)

You made a good point there about Adrian and Lissa saving Dimitri using spirit and that Adrian would be giving Rose what she wants most at the cost of his own happiness. I just wonder though, does anyone think Rose could be happy with Adrian? Like would she learn to love him in time if she couldn't have Dimitri?

Those are what ifs...if Richelle is smart, she will make it so Rose and Dimitri can live happily ever after. LOL! Yes, I am a sap that way. I want a happy ending damnit!

I wonder how much of the "Strigoi are Soulless" propaganda is just that...propaganda.

As much as i love Dimitri, im thinking he's going to die...
as much as i hate it, it was a great cliff-hanger/plot twist...although when he and Rose had the discussion in the car about them wanting to be killed if they turned strigoi, the first thing that popped in my head was- dimitri is going to turn.

not to mention, i was so pissed with the happily ever after crap Meyer put us through, that i am more than happy to have some death and sadness in my series lol.

i would be happy if she ended up w/ Adrian, but just as satisfied if not more if there was a way for her to be w/ Dimitri...

I was on Richelle Meade's webpage and she said in a sentence " I do love my Rose and Dimetri" that gave me hope that somehow Dimetri can still be saved. Either by the way that Rose is somehow connected to the world of the dead and if she can find Dimetri before the 40 days combined with their love (like Christain parents still loved him) she can somehow enter that world brifly to bring his soul back to his body. I like the idea of Leissa and Adriane somehow showing up and with their combined powers are able to bring his soul back.

I just pray that somehow Richelle has it all worked out that Rose and Dimetri are together in the end doing what they love (being Guardians) and having a life together and putting themselves first when not working. You can't build up to a love like that, give us a taste and then ripe Rose's and our hearts out in the end.

I need a happy ending. I'm a sap that way.

heyyy!!! i jus found a very very hidden clue to the ending of shadow kiss whereby Rose has to leave Vampire Academy! It's on page 118 in Frostbite!!! It's when Lissa gave rose the guardian thing and Rose tease,'there's a high chance that i might get kicked out of the school before i become your guardian.' arghh we have overlooked this before. i thot she's teasing, but actually it's a foreshadow!
