| Finally, a place where people can talk about THG!!! I frigging love this series!! It's AWESOME!! I just read it a couple weeks ago and fell completely in love with Katniss and Peeta!! THG is definitely one of my favorite series. I went out to the store and bought Catching Fire the same day I finished reading THG!! I'm so excited for book 3 next year!! God. I wish I knew when it comes out so that I could mark it on my calendar. Anyone else out there feel the same? Have you read CF? What do you think of the series so far? Are you in love with Peeta? Or do you prefer Gale? And lastly... would YOU survive the Hunger Games?! _________________ Some people read books for fun. - Dimitri Belikov |

| ^^ Somebody else who loves Hunger Games! I finally got CF but I haven't started reading it yet due to the crunch time I had to go through. But I heard that it is amazing! And no, I could definitely not survive the Hunger Games. I would probably be the one who forgot about the 60 second rule and just step off the metal plate. _________________ You will lose what you value most.." | CF is pretty amazing!! I LOVED it!! It took me a little while to get into it though, but once I did, I finished it off in less than two days!! lol I don't think I'd survive either. Though I don't know about being killed off in the first minute. Maybe the first two. I think I'd survive until the gong sounded!! At least... I like to think so. _________________ Some people read books for fun. - Dimitri Belikov |

| Any other HG fans out there? I just love Peeta. He's so sweet. He's probably my favorite part about the series. Rue broke my heart. _________________ Some people read books for fun. - Dimitri Belikov |

| Finished THG and CF in the past two days and absolutely love the series so far. Without a doubt it's going to be bumped into my faves. Definitely Team Peeta, there's no way Gale's good for her. _________________ . . ...arguing about who would win in a fight: Dumbledore from the Harry Potter books or Magnus Bane. | So if you go to http://www.thehungergames.co.uk/ you'll see the UK HG covers (sort of) with pictures of Katniss and Peeta. Does anyone else reckon this shot of shailene woodley looks like cover-Katniss? http://i244.photobucket.com/albums/gg20/sapphire_ik/shailene-woodley-2.jpg _________________ . . ...arguing about who would win in a fight: Dumbledore from the Harry Potter books or Magnus Bane. | WHOA that girl's eyes are huge!! But yeah, she really does sorta look like that pic of Katniss. I hope we find out more about The Victors soon. Like a RELEASE DATE would be nice. Can't wait. And you already know I'm with you on the Peeta vs Gale thing. Peeta is the only one for Katniss. They complete each other. _________________ Some people read books for fun. - Dimitri Belikov |

| I wrote up this giant argument about why Peeta's better then Gale for other friends, so far they haven't replied to it much but it felt good to type it all out That girl doesn't really look like Katniss is other shots though, it's really just that one. But I thought it was pretty cool finding it. _________________ . . ...arguing about who would win in a fight: Dumbledore from the Harry Potter books or Magnus Bane. | Ok, What I told my friends. It was in reply to some things, like Gale vs. Peeta, Cinna and CF in general. I'll put it in spoilers so Chris and anyone else who hasn't read it yet don't see something that'll mess up the books for them. | Spoiler: | | | | Quote: | Going against what Alissa said, I reckon Peeta and Katniss will end up together. Gale's way too similar to her, they're both hunters, both want to run from trouble or alternatively run straight into the trouble. They're definitely not the type to look before they leap and because of that I think they'll be ill suited with each other. I actually hated Gale turning up in the last few pages of CF because it was so obvious that Katniss was realising the full extent of Peeta's importance to her. She was finally admitting that despite all the faking and problems that had arisen because of the Capitol, Peeta makes her feel safe. So I want more than anything for Peeta and Katniss to be together. Peeta heals Katniss, and we all know Katniss has a way with healing him too Once she may have loved Gale, and I admit at the very start of HG I wanted her with Gale (but that's because I didn't know Peeta all that much), but not anymore. And I know some of you might be thinking "But we don't know Gale either!" ... But I disagree, we might not see a lot of him, but we know him. He's furiously protective of those he loves, he's jealous of those who love Katniss, he's defiant and, though intelligent, to me doesn't seem to think things through enough. Peeta on the other hand is equally protective but with a strength beyond Gales. He's cautious, but dangerous, funny, can be relaxed and has an unimaginable way of lending support without being asked. He's just so cool. And with that long explaination I think you all can gather that I'm Team Peeta ... haha
I was kind of angry at Haymitch at the end of CF too, because he promised Katniss that he'd save Peeta. And I know she's supposed to be the mockingjay, the sign of the revolt, but she can't lead a revolt on her own especially if all she is is the symbol for it. Peeta's the one with words, the one who could change the minds of all the districts and make them realise just how powerful they could be against the Capitol.
I think Cinna is an Avox now. There's no way the Capitol would have killed him, they'd want everyone (including Katniss) to know just how big a "crime" he's committed. Executing is one thing, but by being an Avox you're harder to forget, you're just silently there always.

All done. It's pretty much what we talked about before Ash. _________________ . . ...arguing about who would win in a fight: Dumbledore from the Harry Potter books or Magnus Bane.
