And I'm sure in many faiths divorce is a big no-no. I can speak for Catholicism. Divorce is not sanctioned by the Church. If you do divorce, you are not allowed to re-marry, at least not in the Church. It's considered adultery. However, if the marriage is proven to be fraudulent or another reason as outlined by the Church, it can be annulled. Which means the church declares that due to some impediment, that the marriage never existed. In that case, the persons CAN remarry. But I digress.
In Georgie's times, I wonder how they were married. Did they have Churches or anything? That would be interesting to find out! I think too, that she chose the way of making the deal to spare her own and to some extent his family the shame of a marital breakup. I mean, think about it...it looks bad on her family because it looks like they raised a whore. And it looks bad on him/his family because it looks like he couldn't do what it takes...if you get my meaning. And in a way, it was true because he didn't y'know with her very much...and as such, they never had a kid. Having kids was (and still is) important. Especially then. Basically, what you would be doing is breeding a workforce for your farm or fishing business. |

| I read about 130 pages of Succubus Blues last night, and I'm absolutely loving it. I adore Roman. Whoever said somewhere here that I'd like him was right. I can't help smiling when he's around. well I'm off to read some more |

| In response to the debate | Spoiler: | | | yeah but georgina had the option of having everyone forget about the affair and going back to her normal life with her husband. The only downside was she would still know what she did. So in a sort of selfish way she asked for niphon to make it like she never existed and was never born. He said he could do it but a deal like that was more serious and would require something big on her part.(payment) which is why she became a succubus. |

Roman was like that for Georgina even though you know her and Seth are meant to be together. I kind of want to see Roman and georgina together because they were really good together before everything got so screwed up. He was fun and sexy. I just don't picture Seth as Sexy. Roman and Georgina would make the ultimate Sexy couple. And if Seth some how does go through with the wedding then I'm all for Georgina and Roman working things out. |

The fact that he was going to KILL Georgina, was a big big turn off. That and he became kind of stalkerish. I'm sorry, I can't find that admirable at all. |

| Ok, new update. Still enjoying the series, seriously angry at myself for not buying more (though I still have about 120-ish pages to go). Georgina's just been attacked and saved by Carter, but I had to stop reading for a bit, but I should be back to it soon. |

And Georgie can have a relationship with him like that Kristen did with her boss Cedric. *hopeful smile* OR...something is discovered with Georgie's contract and she's released and turned back to human and then she and Seth can marry and even have children as in fulfillment of Nyx's dream prediction thingy. |

| Nah, I only have the first one. finished it...last night (I think, maybe it was the night before. I can't remember). I was going to wait until RM came to australia and see if anyone is selling her books during the signings and pick up a few more there, but I'm definitely going to have to order the next one sooner than that. I'm not actually at home at the moment though, so internet connects are slightly bad so I wont be able to do it now  . But soon. As for the first novel. | Spoiler: | | | I knew Roman was going to be the Nephilim! I was just sensing it when Georgina couldn't contact him. Roman and Georgina are my favourites so far, but of course that could change since it's only book one. I'm so happy Roman got away, but now he'll be all angry and want revenge...not cool! Obviously Seth is the another potential love interest for Georgina, but I don't feel it as much at the moment. I don't see that it's possible for them to develop a relationship deeper than conversation (and therefore friendship) at least not with him being human, though I doubt he'd have a reason to sell his soul (unless for Georgina). I doubt he'd be very happy with Georgina going around sleeping with a whole bunch of other men while they're supposedly "dating", especially considering he can't exactly have sex with her without being damned. |
Those are my opinions so far, I'm bound to have more eventually and I'm dying to get the next book so hopefully that'll be soon. |
