I agree. I think that would be neat. Not that I have a problem with female protagonists or written from a woman's POV. But a good number of the books I have read lately are like that, and I'd like a bit of a change...sort of like eating only chocolate ice cream, sometimes you want a different flavour.

Well....yes and no. I mean, you look at Hugh, and at the risk of this being a spoiler (Sorry to anyone not read this yet!) when he signed up Georgina for the auction. He didn't do it for the sake of raising money for children. He did it to get into the organizer's panties. Is Hugh purely evil? No. If he were, he wouldn't have helped to heal Georgina after she was attacked by Nanette.
The vampires? I really don't know. Other than throwing them in for comedy relief, she hasn't done much with them. We don't really know what their 'mission' or 'job' is. For instance, as an imp, Hugh has to try to get people to sell their souls. Georgie has to corrupt them with sex and to take their life-force. But what do Peter and Cody do other than feed?

I still don't think the wedding will happen. I really don't. (Actually it's more like hoping against hope that it doesn't). I know Georgie wouldn't intentionally hurt Maddie, but in a way I wish she would. I'm thinking that Georgie wouldn't even have to do anything to interfere. I think Seth will screw up their future wedding...or Maddie will discover the affair on her own. IMO, that's way more hurtful. I think Maddie is weak and she will run when she discovers the photos or other evidence of the relationship with GK.

You're on the right track by making Maddie's life hell at work. THAT is the best way to get rid of her. But then again, she'd only go whining to Seth. I'm with you...I'd do that to her for sure. Make her go clean the toilets, or muck out behind the coffee counter. LOL!

Oh well yeah they are still servents of hell and there for have to Carry out their jobs, they made their own contracts. I was just talking about how Georgina only wants to drain life from assholes and doesn't like using innocent men. (usually). Hugh has his obligations but still sympathizes with the others, and their decisions. I know in one of the books it said that unlike other vampires Peter and Cody don't kill people when they feed. Carter knows and understands that they all still have their hellish duties to carry out, but I think Carter also realizes that this group of tries to be good as much as they possibly can. I was basically saying how Georgie and her friends are more unconventional.

I also agree that Carter and Jerome must have been good friends before Jerome fell.

I should think we're getting it at the same time as the US. Blood Promise will be at the Chapters on 25 August, same as you guys. Succubus Shadows isn't listed there yet. Not even for a pre-order. But then, that book's due out in April 2010, right?

Would you want this series made into a film?

I know I wouldn't. I like the pictures I create in my head...and movies tend to cut so much from the books. That was one reason while I loved the eye-candy of Twilight, I was disappointed that so much was cut from the book, and stuff that was in the movie seemed a bit of a misinterpretation...and then there was stuff added in that wasn't in the story at all. I would hate to see that happen to the GK/Succubus series. That and I don't think they could ever find anyone as sassy as Georgina to portray her accurately in a movie.

Well, I definitely wouldn't want the succubus series made into a movie. But I wouldn't mind if it was made into a mini tv series!! Each season would be only a couple episodes long, that way they can fit each book into a season and wouldn't have to cut anything. And I know that Showtime and HBO do mature content all the time (Dexter, True Blood). I also don't think a succubus mini series would have any trouble with getting an audience either. But Fox tv bought the rights for Succubus Blues so who knows what'll happen with it.

if Fox makes it into a mini series , it's going to suck! cuz they will cut all the kinky stuff from the book , which it'll be a big chunk

Got my copy of Succubus Blues yesterday morning, pretty happy. I'm going to start it in a little while.
