| The comic is pretty good. They nailed Carter. He looks just as homeless as I picture him in my head. I think Georgie's hair is too short. JMO...I picture her with a bit longer hair. And Grace and Mei I pictured with bob hair dos. Like 'chin length'. I agree with the assessment of Maddie: short, fat and annoying. They got that depiction spot on! LOL! I thought Cody was blonde? Peter's great! The only change I would make is perhaps to put a chef hat on his head, and change the shirt to a Santa Sweater. LOL! And Tawny, I think the picture is perfect. She's all about extremes: extreme height, extreme boobs, extreme hair and eyes; a Barbie on 'roids! LOL! At first I didn't like Tawny, I thought she was a nuisance. But I've mellowed out to her. She's just there...and comedy relief. | Quote: | | Though nobody tops Kristen Stewart on my list of severely untalented, overly hyped actors. Hilary Duff would be second. |
Thank you for that. I'm glad I'm not alone in my dislike of KS. She's like milquetoast. Bland...boring...maybe she takes a little too much pot and is too...too... I don't know what word I'm looking for. What's the opposite of hyper? Calm? But not just that. In the movie she was always agape, I started thinking she was a mouth breather.
| Spoiler: | | | | Quote: | I don't think Kristen (her name's Kristen apparently) would lie to Georgina. She seemed too grateful for what Georgina did to get her and Cedric together. I don't remember who exactly, but Georgina tells someone (either Kristen or Cedric) that they might be demons, but they deserve happiness as well.
And the priest, while not artistic, was a lot like the many other artists Georgina met throughout the centuries. All of the guys were sensitive in the same way that Seth and her husband are sensitive, I guess is what I meant to say. lol But yeah, I think they could all be the same guy. I don't know how else Georgina's contract could be void otherwise. Unless Jerome really lets her become mortal as her favor, and I just don't think that is a likely option. |
OK..so we don't think Kristen (thanks, btw, I knew it started with a K) lied to Georgina. So then, that puts us back to 'nothing wrong with the contract'. So then why else would Niphon have such a problem? Unless he maybe made a deal with someone from Georgie's past that she made a deal for them to forget, but he made a deal for them to find her? Does that make sense? So if she found out about another deal...then maybe her original deal would be void?
If Georgina gets to become mortal, it won't be until the last book. The series is about a succubus. If she gets turned mortal in the 5th book, then what's the point?
I do agree that most of the guys G goes for are sensitive types...all except Dante. He wasn't sensitive. He's just a skeevy, selfish jerk!

Mouth breather... lol I just think she's a sucky actor. Every role I've seen her in, she acts exactly the same. She's even worse than Alexis Bledel. I've seen some pictures of her recently with the mullet and she sorta looks like a drug addict. But what's with those really awkward arm movements that she does? Ex, in Twilight when she gets her car she's like "o ma gosh" or whatever and does this really weird masculine thing with her hands. She tries to be all cool but she just looks really dumb. I've seen her do something like that in every single movie I've seen her in. It doesn't help that she sounds like a manbeast either. I think Pattinson's voice is higher than hers.
I dislike Twilight like no other, though I do really love Jacob. He was about the only thing worth reading the book / watching the movie for, and quite possibly Meyer's ONLY character that had any sort of character development. And Taylor Lautner is so cute... lol he reminds me of my little brother.

That's an interesting idea actually. I never thought that maybe someone could have wanted to find her. But I just don't know, since her request to be forgotten had been fulfilled. How would anyone remember to look for her? Unless, say, her husband thought something was missing from his life and he created a contract with an imp (Niphon or not) to look for his soulmate or something along those lines. I dunno.
It's difficult to say at this point what could be wrong with Georgina's contract (if there IS anything wrong with it) since we didn't really get any new clues about it in SH. There wasn't a whole lot about the dream in it either. I was a bit disappointed by that. But there's still a few books left (3 I think?). So hopefully there will be more development in the next book.
I think Dante was there just because Georgina didn't want to be alone after breaking up with Seth. Georgina never expected to start dating, and didn't really want to get involved with anyone because she knew it wouldn't end well for either of them. She really tried not to start anything with Seth from the very beginning. But he was too pushy and she eventually had to give in. Another reason why I dislike Seth. He's too damn pushy!! That's sort of why they broke up in the first place because he was too horny and didn't back off when she said no. |

| I'll agree to disagree with you about Twilight. I'm "Team Edward/Vampire" 100%. I just love Rob Pattinson. When I see him I just want to ruffle his hair and cuddle him. LOL! | Spoiler: | | | | Quote: | That's an interesting idea actually. I never thought that maybe someone could have wanted to find her. | Maybe the deal was made simultaneously? Perhaps with another imp? OR Niphon messed up. And you can't put it past an imp to lie.

The only thing really in SH about the dream was that she found the tortoise shell cat. I trust RM. I'm sure she'll make it all clear, or at least a little clearer before the last book. I thought in that interview/Q&A @ BBB she said there was only going to be 6 GK books. And I think she said *maybe* 7 VA.

Now that's an interesting take on Seth. There are times he comes across as a real wimp. And he went for an easy out with *barf* Maddie. I know that Georgina didn't want to get involved because she didn't want Seth hurt/lose his soul/etc. But "pushy"...that's different. He was stubborn about the sex, that's for sure. He kept insisting that it was his life and that she was worth it. It's such a mess with those two. I really want a happy ending for Georgie...and I think that ending includes having Seth as her own.

| | Spoiler: | | | | Quote: | RM says in her FAQ section of her official website that she "may" do 7 succubus books. For sure she will be doing 6 VA books from Rose's pov like she said in her LJ. And since RM planned out her stories even before writing them, I know there has to be more development coming up. And I guess we're already seeing development (however little) since Georgina found the cat.
|
OK...so I got them mixed up. I knew that one of her series she had mentioned a potential 7th book. RM sure knows how to keep us on our toes! And to keep stressing us out. Seriously, when I was reading SD and SH I was a ball of stress. I even had strange dreams about the stories! I dreamt I was Georgie and I was being cheated on by Seth. It just brought back bad memories of being cheated on by an ex. I think that's why I identify with Georgie. And if I could punish both my ex and the bitch he cheated with, I would! LOL! I think also that's why I hate Maddie, too.
|
| Quote: | I'm just really impatient to know how the story will end. With both VA and Succubus. lol Though I'm not going absolutely crazy waiting for Blood Promise surprisingly. Yet...
|
Ah, and then when it does end you'll wish it wasn't over yet. I'm still going totally crazy waiting for the next book!
| Spoiler: | | | | Quote: | | Anyway, what really bugged me that I just now remembered was when Georgina and Seth go to Starbucks and Seth orders a mocha frap and Georgina stares at him like wtf? And he says "Oh Maddie got me hooked on them". I wanted to smack him upside his stupid head for Georgina. |
Oh I know!!! OMG! I could picture him with a stupid goofy smile on his face as he said it, too. Almost proud of her converting him to coffee. F'in idiot! I wouldn't smack him in the head for that, I'd kick him in the nads, and then call him an a$$! Way to go Seth...way to hurt Georgina. |
This isn't all that spoilery...which character if they were real would you like to be friends with or hang out with? I'd love to hang out with Georgie and pick her brains about clothes and hair and stuff. That and I'd love to be part of a group she takes out for social dancing. I'd also love to consult with Peter about interior design. LOL! My room has slanted ceilings, I'd love to know what he would suggest for a reno!_________________ Yes, I know it's Devil Hunter Yohko...but she reminded me of Rose. |

| Oh... you're gonna want to order the next book (or three) before you finish Succubus Blues. lol I think the 2nd and 3rd books were my favorite, despite some of the unfortunate things that happen... but I'll say no more. _________________ Some people read books for fun. - Dimitri Belikov |

| Thanks for the heads up. I'm kind of hoping wherever RM get's sent to in Australia in September that they'll have all the other Succubus books in stock so I can buy them AND get them signed at the same time. And that way I have time to save up enough money to get them all. |

| I'm sure RM will have copies of her books on hand that you can buy. How else will she be able to promote her books if she doesn't have any for her listeners to take home with them? So yeah, saving up some money to buy them is a good idea!! Maybe you can pick up Storm Born there as well!! Having RM sign them would be awesome too. I'll be seeing her on her Blood Promise tour because I'm making it a point not to miss her this time. lol Absolutely not. I will wait patiently to buy my copy of Blood Promise at her signing, and I shall have her autograph it for me. _________________ Some people read books for fun. - Dimitri Belikov |

| I'm actually planning on getting all of the VA books again in hardcover, so I just might do that at the signing. I love hardcover books. Plus I think the new covers are really nice. And my little sister already claimed ownership to my softcover copies. I dun think I'll bring any of the succubus books to get signed though. I might take Storm Born with me though, or Thorn Queen cause I'm sure I'll have read it by then. _________________ Some people read books for fun. - Dimitri Belikov |

| We rarely get hardcover books in Australia, they're nearly always paperback and the few times you do find a hardcover book it's about $30 more expensive, so I tend to avoid them. |

| I love hardcover!! I pretty much go out of my way to get hardcovers... lol Sad. It's just that softcovers have a tendency to get bent more easily. I'm very fickle about lending out my books because I'm afraid they won't be treated right. I hate it when people dog-ear the pages to save their spot. It's book abuse I tell you!! _________________ Some people read books for fun. - Dimitri Belikov |

| I hate books being mistreated too, I rarely lend my books to anyone. Dog-ears are ridiculous, if you want to mark your place use a bookmark it's what they were invented for. |
