Is it just me, or does the likes of Rose and Company somewhat reminds me of Gemma Doyle and her fellow Spence Academy Ladies and Gentlemen?

For instance, Rose tends to show defiance at her mother when ger mum hid stuff from her, as Gemma had done her own mum, except Rose's mum's errors are somewhat less Severe than Gemma's mum's, for the most part, while Lissa Dragomir reads like a prettier, angelic, and Vampiric version of Ann Bradshaw, except i don't recall Bradshaw mating with anyone.
