Call me heartless, but I wasn't too attached to Mason. He reminded me in a way like Jacob from Twilight. He was a bit on the puppy dog side. Rose was too mature for him. That's why she's a better match with Dimitri.

I didn't even get a best friend vibe off him either. Mason was totally Rose's back up choice. She turned to Mason because she was pissed off at Dimitri for going with Tasha. Rose's dalliance with Mason was a revenge thing. A "make Dimka jealous" thing. Sure, Rose and Mason were friends. But like I said, I didn't feel a big bonding between them.

You have a not unattractive boy who is your double in personality and he happens to adore you. What girl wouldn't give it a try especially if the one you want is out of reach? But Rose needed someone that close to her to die so that last bit of immaturity and recklessness to be beaten out of her.

i was so sad i loved mason i would die if i lost my best guy friend. he came back partly in the 3rd and then went away all i could think in the 3rd book was the scence with mason.

That he hung out to help guide/warn Rose of the threat showed his feelings for Rose were strong.

Sure, Mason had strong feelings for Rose, but they weren't requited. Rose was in love with Dimitri and even if she tried to fill the void with Mason when Dimka went with Tasha...it was just that a way to fill the void.

I agree with everyone... he was just the most perfect person and then Richelle Mead had to kill him. I mean, why? I is so sad. I read the book and when I got to page 301 of Frostbite I just started crying and crying and crying.

I have no life : I have learnt to quote his death from "Unlike with me" till "Horror oand shock consumed me."

He is by far my fav character and I still cant accept his death (god I sound like a freak.. no wonder my mum said I should see a phycyatrist ((cant spell soz))
