Agreed, although i felt the 1st novel was decent, to say the least.

In any case, is it just me?Or are we better off watching Capture The Flag with armies of half-mortals than Vampire Baseball?

That quote chunk describes Bella quite a bit. From Bella sharing Meyer's Mormon ideals about being a good wife/girlfriend, is pretty beyond belief, her only real flaw is clumsiness, every girl is either envious/jealous or not worth Bella's time and the whole Twilight series was written with the character in mind.
Mustn't forget Edward too. He fits the role just as well and he did demand a book to be written about him by S.Meyer.

She was the centre of attention when she first moved to Forks with all the human male character mentioned falling head over heels for her without Bella doing anything except sit quietly and whine in her head about how awful all this attention is.
Also Edward kind of, in that he only had to walk into a room and look broody for Bella to fall utterly "in love" with him.
