Now i decided to have a discussion thread in which we can talk about matters of the Vampire Academy of St. Vladimir, and discover exactly how much in common with the Ancient Spartans they would have had, for the most part.

From what i figured, the Moroi and the Guardians would have to be the Spartans, especially the Guardians, since they have a nasty habit of fighting impossible odds, and most of their families are also from eastern Europe, as well, which might as well include Greece, the more we think about this.

I guess that makes the Feeders the Servants and Slaves, or the Helots, of Moroi society, except for the most part, they were willing to go through whatever they had to do, for some reason or another that i can't seem to remember, except they don't seem to have much plans for leaving the academy or something like that, right?

Now let us discuss this matter, shall we?

To make matters more confusing, if Vampire Literature of today reads very much like ancient Greece, then i can't tell if it's supposed to be Cirque Du Freak or Vampire Academy that have Full-Blooded Vampires and their kin and such fighting, or even behaving like, the Ancient Spartans, to save my life!

Apparently, the way the Guardians tend to act in not retreating, at least if it could be helped, if i didn't know better, reads a lot like the basic Spartan Law of 'No Retreat...No Surrender' except in the Guardians' case, surrendering against the Strigoi essentially means extinction, really.
