That actually sounds all kinds of awesome. I wish my friends loved Miyazaki movies as much as I do. Now I think I will be watching Spirited Away on Halloween night, followed by Shaun of the Dead. Razz

Spirited Away is one of my favorite movies ever. You know you can find the whole thing on Yahoo Video (or some other video hosting sight)! Very Happy

I don't celebrate Halloween. It's not very big over here anyway. It's become more popular but most of the people I know still think it's just an American tradition...the whole taking-candy-from-strangers thing isn't exactly the best message to be sending to people (at least that's what I think).

I only took candy from neighbors and family and I walked with a group of people including my dad and friends... You are right though it isn't safe exactly...
Yeah, I know most people go with their parents and have a safe sort of area they visit, but the idea itself isn't exactly well thought-out.

That is funny... I dont know what is with the peace trend now. Its cool at first but now its old...
I am going to be having an 'old-Vampire-Movies' Mrathon. I want to rent Nosfurato, the Draculas, then progress forward in time and see The Lost Boys, Van Helsing (love it!), Underworlds 1-3 (love em!!), Blade (okay...) and any other thing I can find... Are there any you guys can recommend?

Oh... If you want a scarry movie- WATCH QUARINTINE!!!!!!!!!!!

How about 'Interview with a Vampire'

I actually didn't like The Lost Boys. I kept hearing that it was this fabulous movie and I thought it was pretty crap.

I can just barely stand that movie. I've seen it a couple times. I get really annoyed whenever I see that Corey Haim kid come on screen. lol And I can't take the movie seriously because Jack Bauer is in it. Razz

My favorite scary movies are mostly incredibly gory. I love blood and dismembered bodies. Twisted Evil
I think some of the best scary movies are Dawn of the Dead (remake), 28 Weeks Later, The Hills Have Eyes (remake; the original is really lame), The Descent... I also like [Rec]/Quarantine. Jeepers Creepers is a pretty good thriller movie too. lol The first couple minutes of Scream still give me goosebumps. Razz

I didn't really register who was in it, I just remember thinking it was crap.

Quarintine scared the living daylights out of me. My dad lied to me and told me it was about Vampires to get me to watch it... He still owes me for that... Suspect

I will NEVER watch that movie, lol.
The scariest movie I've ever seen was the Amytiville Horror, in 7th grade.
For some stupid/reatrded reason my friends parents allowed us to watch that movie.
I had nightmares for months.

After seeing The Grudge and Dawn of the Dead, nothing really scares me anymore. Razz

Well... I *was* a bit freaked after seeing [Rec]/Quarantine. I think [Rec] was scarier than Quarantine though because it was in Spanish. Hehe. And I watched it in the middle of the night. Also, the ending of [Rec], while still pretty much the same as Quarantine, was still a bit different.

You know... the Spaniards have actually made a [Rec] 2. I wonder if that means there will be a Quarantine 2? scratch Hope so.

I still havent decided what to do for halloween. I'm trying to find a balance between my friends and their wanting to party and my wanting to stay in and watch movies.

To the whole movie discussion. I love zombie movies. I love guts and gore movies. I love creepy movies. But i cant think of any movies that actually scare me. All the ones u guys listed havent scared me. Sure some parts made me cringe or jump but not scared. I want to see a real scary movie where i'm scared to get off the bed afterwords. That would be a perfect ending to halloween night.
