| It was sad but in a way, it was a necessary development of Rosemarie Hathaway's character. |

| I felt really bad for Mason pretty much throughout the whole second book. I mean it was kind of obvious it wasn't going to work out between him and Rose, but I don't think he ever caught on to it. And then he died saving Rose... =/ Poor boy. _________________ "When it's time to live and let die, and you can't get another try, something inside this heart has died, you're in ruins." --Green Day

How was it obvious? Was it obvious when Rose was flirting with him or when she was making out with him? Rose had been gone for almost a year and who knows what their friendship was like before she left. And no one knew about Dmitri and her. So objectively, Rose gave signals that it was possible in Frostbite. |

| I meant more like it was obvious for the reader that it wasn't going to happen...we were just left waiting out the inevitable. And thats part of the sad part, that Rose was leading him on so much and he had no way of knowing that she had hidden feelings for Dimitri. *tear* ..and I am totally with you, mia should have died if anyone. I guess I'm just glad she doesn't act like she has a stick up her you-know-what anymore. Yet, Mason dying was essential to the progression of the story in Shadow Kiss... _________________ "When it's time to live and let die, and you can't get another try, something inside this heart has died, you're in ruins." --Green Day

| Page 301 of frostbite... worst page in entire series. I cried my heart and soul out over someone who doesnt exist when I read that page. I am so sad that I can even quote when Mason died. I mean... come on. How sad does ones life get. Mason Ashford was my fav character and he always will be unless that Sydney chic in Blood Promise is more interesting. |

| Yes I have to agree, Mason dieing was heart breaking. He was a great character. I will miss him, but I think Rose seeing him as a ghost was good. She really got to say her goodbye, and he got to help her. _________________ Bound by Love, But sworn to Kill

| Yes I deff did cry, but then when he showed up as ghost I was like YES MASON. At fist I thought he was going to hurt Rose, but then I remembered how much he loved her. He helped her to see the things that she couldn't. I wish he could of helped her find Dimitri though, but he did tell her that Dimitri had been turned. So I think in a way that was his last way to show her how much he loved her, helping her understand what she had to do. _________________ Bound by Love, But sworn to Kill

| I cried the second time I read through it. The first time, it seemed like a blur. So when I read about Mason's limp body, I was all "WTF?! When did he die?" And then I started crying. _________________ You will lose what you value most.." It had been... his hair.Shamelessly advertising: Come join!Shamelessly advertising...again: Fun! |

| I didn't cry but I was shocked. I honestly did not see it coming AT ALL, and I was like "Lissa will fix him" so I didn't think he was really dead until Rose started to talk about his funeral. I was pretty upset after that. He was a great character. _________________ |

| It feels so lonely, without Mason...he had us all awe-inspired, right to the very end, as if he could have been an Apollo kid or a Vampire's assistant for a Vampire Mountain Vampire, and we wouldn't complain about it! _________________ Please come and join us in this site, as we could use a hand in growing, right away. http://hogwartsstudents.darkbb.com/forum.htm Is the Ultimate Coordinator, Kira Yamato, Still Alive? If he is alive, then could someone please tell him to come in, and kill the Volturi with Strike Freedom Gundam, please? |

O.k just one question who didn't cry. I mean Mason is the best, Great guy and bad' ass at that. Why did Mead have to kill off the only of age good guy in the series I guess ill just have to find out later. When I read the other two books. Now the only guy I can route for is Dimitri. Damn Russians. They always get the girl. L O L. |
