I think that he actually likes Rose because of the scene in Shadow kiss where she goes to him for money before she leaves and he makes her promise to come back to him.

I get that feeling, too. That underneath the arrogance that he really does want her and not only just to take off her clothes.

I wouldn't at all be surprised that the person that started the rumour about him and her getting together - the one that reached the Queen's ears - was himself! But I suppose we'll find that out in Blood Promise.

I just love him. Which is weird since I definitely want Rose to end up with Dimitri. But he's a hell of a character.

And speaking of rumors, I loved that one where he's been disinherited cause he told his father he could never love anyone else but Rose. I also loved his reaction to the queen's rant: "I hope you defended our love!". He's really adorable.

Nevertheless, at the end of the day, Dimitri is the one and only badass god.

On the other hand, I felt kinda sorry for Adrian. At the end of Shadow Kiss (or close to it), you could feel that Adrian really did want Rose. I do believe he sincerely wants a real shot at her.

Sadly for him, Rose belongs with Dimitri!!

I'm still not sure if Adrian would be good for Rose. I mean, yeah, I get the vibe, that Adrian likes her as in REALLY likes her. But on the other hand...I dunno. There's something about Rose's relationship with him that doesn't work. Of course her being head over heels in love with Dimitri is a barrier to her loving Adrian. LOL!

But there is something else, I think. I don't know if their personalities mesh. That's lame, I know. But there is something that just doesn't gel for them being a couple.

I get what you are saying, I almost feel like they are both too...sarcastic with one another, too similar in that way to really mesh well together. I think they probably are better off with that whole "I don't really like you" flirting thing they've got going on...

i agree. adrian and rose are good for each other but they just dont work together. but of course we also have the fact that dimitri is now a strigoi so he cant really be involved with rose.

Adrian only gets a shot at Rose if (a) Dmitri is truly not salvageable and (b) Adrian, like Christian's aunt, would be willing to toss convention aside and keep a Dhampir as a wife. I don't see Rose settling for side benefits.

Honestly I think those plans would never work out, however it could create a few barriers.

Personally, I prefer Adrian. Rose and Dimitri can never have a life together or children. I never liked Dimitri, but Adrian I loved from the start. Rose can be Adrian's guardian, lover, wife, and he can give her children that she can actually be with. Unlike, Rose's mother who had to give Rose up so she can be a guardian.

Dimitri can only be her lover. He may or may not be able to give her children depending on if Strogai can do that.

Anyway, Rose and Adrian all the way. Dimitri was a sexual predator,lol, he was too old to be falling for Rose.
