Moroi are physically weaker than Dhampirs who are slightly weaker than Strigoi.

How would Dimitri turn into a Moroi if Lissa and Adrian heal him? Isn't Moroi or Dhampir a genetic thing? How can they change his genetics?

Well if he's a vampire now, he needs blood. If he's an un-undead vampire, what is he? The only un-un-dead vampires are Moroi. Would he go back to being a Dhampir now that he's physically/genetically altered to Strigoi?

That would be awesome. I can so see the last chapter of the final book telling about all their little babies. Unlikely, but still. I'm very, very much hoping that Lissa and Andrian together will bring Dimitri back to something. Anything other than Strigoi is good with me.

Or, he could be a good Strigoi. Remember how everyone was shocked to hear about how so many Strigoi could work together? They thought it was impossible. Who's to say there aren't good Strigoi? We wouldn't know, because we haven't gotten the chance to really know one yet. Natalie and Rose weren't best friends or anything. Dimitri and Rose have a bond, and are very much in love. Perhaps becoming a Strigoi is not enough to break that.

One thing is for certain, there's no way she's killing him. She'll never be able to do it, even if she wants to. She can believe it's not really him anymore, but it'll still look like him. She couldn't even if she wanted to. Lissa and Andrian will totally save the day!!! I hope...

OK...I get it now. The stuff about if Dimitri is healed somehow from being Strigoi that he would turn into a Moroi.

In one way, I don't want that kind of ending. It's a bit cliché. And plus that kind of ending is what IMO ruined the end of the Harry Potter series. JKR had matched up all the characters and depicted them as parents sending their offspring to Hogwart's school. It was a lame ending, IMO.

Don't get me wrong. I am a big Rose and Dimitri fan. Yes, I want them together. But maybe just a big double wedding in the book to end the whole series. The double wedding being Rose and Dimitri and Lissa and Christian.

I think Lissa & Adrian finding a way to bring him back would be pretty awesome. Although Adrian's sometimes stalker-ish crush on Rose, might make it unlikely because with Dimitri back he'd have ZERO chance in hell with Rose.

But anyway... I think he would be more likely to come back as Moroi because when he was turned Strigoi his Dhampir genes were converted to vampire genes (even if they are undead ones). So if he was healed while being a vampire, he would probably come back vampire. Plus, I think this would be a really awesome outcome. Dimka & Rose could have their own children & have an open relationship & not have quite the same scrutiny they had as a guardian+guardian relationship would have. And we all know she isn't a blood whore because Dimka (if he came back Moroi) would be the one that was different, regardless of what the queen thinks.

And as someone else said, the whole HoN theory is a good one also. We don't know all that much about the Strigoi and what really happens after they are "awakened". Plus, as seen in HoN, some of them may be different (ie: Stevie Rae was the only red vamp still in touch with her humanity, later helping the other red fledglings). I could see Dimka being the one that is different, keeping his soul after "death". How the whole having children & a relationship with Rose could go, well, that would definately be a controversy. A guardian having an intimate relationship (or a relationship of any kind) with the creature they've been raised to fear & kill since Day 1. Yeah, that might be an even worse problem than two guardians being together....

Am I the only one here who doesn't want Dimitri to come back?
The author has only given him a very brief description so its pretty obvious she's gonna kill him off.
I think Rose will end up with Adrian, even though the queen doesn't want her to, you can kind of tell.
When you read the last few sentences in Shadow Kiss, she is determined to kill Dimitri. It all comes down to two realistic options. Stay with Dimitri and become Strigoi, or kill him no matter how much it hurts, and stay with Lissa. This is what she has been trained for and thats what she'll have to do. There is pretty much no chance Adrian and Lissa will be able to make Dimitri a Moroi or Dhampir, their power doesn't allow it.

I think Rose willl kill him. Remember what her reading with the fortune teller was. Then she will get together with Adrian but it will take some time and then it will cause a new set of obsticales.
