For those who think Dimitri is completely different/not at all like his old self they should re-read the end of chapter 8 in FB. Dimitri has his "attacking", uncontrollable lapses in judgement throughout the series, he wouldn't be considered "badass" if he didn't. So by becoming Strigoi he, in a way, was able to embrace the side of himself he struggled to suppress.

...Or at least I think so.

I think Dimitri could have been worst. Throughout the book you could see traces of his old self in there. The evil hadn't completely consumed him, but even if it had, I still wouldn't be able to get myself to hate him. A warrior that sacrificed for his people; that memory makes me so sad. If he isn't going to change back though, I hope he is killed quickly because I certainly don't want him to continue on as a strigoi.

I think Adrian's character is still far from being fully devloped. lol... so I look forward to seeing more to him in Spirit Bound. Of the male characters, other than Dimitri, I really like Christian. It was too bad he showed up so little in BP. haha you know I've always felt that Christian would be an interesting match for Rose, although that would never happen.

Wow, what a great book! I finished it a couple of hours ago and my mind is still swimming with the possibilites for Spirit Bound. Got to say, i really cant wait till May!

Until now i have firmly been in camp Dimka, but the maturity and togetherness Adrian showed really made me hope we get to see him with Rose in the SB. I guess he has always been jokey in the background and Dimk has been the together, protecting one for Rose. I didnt really realise how much Adrian cared about he until this book. I really hope we get to see his letter to her! and i cant wit for them going off questing! heres hoping Lissa, Christin, Adrian and mum all go with her.

The relationship between Rose and Dimka was brilliantly written. I can really see her seeing through what he had become and seeing what she wanted to see. It was an great momnet when she relaised he was saying he wanted her not he loved her. I thought the killing thing was too simple, i kinda guessed when he fell that it was left open for him to come back. I think its a good thing and i really cant wait for SB.

I just finished the book and I liked it. Not as much as Shadow Kiss, but it's still my second favorite out of all the books so far in the series.

I'm really annoyed by the fact that Dimitri is still alive...don't get me wrong though, I like Dimitri and all...I just couldn't stand him in this book (which was probably because he was a Strigoi)

I also hated that new girl Avery, so I was glad she turned out to be one of the villains in the book....At first, I thought she was some new girl Richelle wanted to add in for Adrian. That made me worry a bit.

And last but not least, I'm VERY glad Adrian asked Rose on a date. I like them together as a couple (better than Rose and Dimitri, actually), so I'm hoping they'll hook up, at least for a little while.
Adrian was the least annoying character in this book, so I'm hoping the characters will be better in the next one.

Well, then what I wrote doesn't exactly apply to you since you've always wanted Rose to get with Adrian. I was talking about people that only wanted Dimitri for Rose in all of the previous books and then suddenly switch sides to Adrian's after reading Blood Promise.

And I love Adrian. I really really do!! He's an awesome character and I don't like to see him get rejected or hurt. God I think I was crying when he and Rose got into that fight in BP. I honestly just don't think that he and Rose can work well as a couple. I mean, yeah I guess I wouldn't really mind if they got together for a while, but again, I don't want to see Adrian get hurt (again). But at this point he's pretty much just doing it to himself because he won't give up on Rose. I guess I have to admire that about him, but Rose isn't giving up on Dimitri. Therefore, I'm not giving up on Rose and Dimitri.

okay i really wanted rose nd dimitri to be toghether but there has always been a special place in my heart for adrain
i liked him since that first night they met at the ski lodge he was charming and i think him and rose could make a great couple
but now i am totali torn i mean i totali saw from the point shere she met mark and oksans and me mentioned the spirit charmed rings and other items i totali sondered what would happen if they charmed a stake with all 5 elements
and plus when he mentioned healing the darkness that comes with being shadow kissed i had the feeling that both of those things will play a big part in Spirit bound
i mean think of the posiblilities we could see dimitri come back
but then again i have to say i don't know if i want that to happen i like Adrian for rose but still i don't know if they'll ever be able to make it happen for real which makew me sad they'regreat toghether


plus after shadow kiss i really started to think the queen might have some real mental problems i mean like adrian mentioned she has the entire moroi population to think about why should she be worried about who dates who in highschool
then there's the thing when she is totali nice to lissa and wanting her to stay at the royal court and atend college near by then she is a total bitch and ordering her around like some puppet property
you'd think she'd be smarter than that she knows alot about spirit she knows about the complusion andallthat crap but she keeps treating her like crap

plus don't you think that even the queen would have some respect for the last Dragomir who could eventually totali ruin her she knows stuff about her like the thing with abmrose ugh i don't know what to think any more



plus i had some problems liking Blood Promise wau to many twists

If Rose does decide to give Adrian a chance, I hope she'll stick with her decision. I love Rose' character so far, but if she ends up pulling a Bella later on...

Yay!! Anyways, me thinks Rose and DImka belong together because they - like all of the best couples - agree about the important stuff but are different in the little things, so they are compatible. Now, I love Adrian, but do you guys think he would really understand what being a guardian entails? The kind of sacrifices Rose is willing to make for her people? Will he understand what it's like to kill - even something evil? Let's face it: Adrian is not a guardian. Rose needs someone more like her. And even if she became involved with him, she'd still wanna be Lissa's guardian. Adrian would compromise her safety. If Strigoi came, Rose would throw herself in front of him, not Lissa.

I agree, i dont really understand how people just give up so easily on Dimitri. I think those people may not really know love much to just side with Adrian in under 10 seconds. And how alot of people are saying that it might head into a happy ending story im not sure if it will be all happy. I think it will be happy mixed with sad. We don't really know yet. But I loved all the twists in turns in the book. And for people who read the book and didnt realize Abe was her father since he came up in the book then you guys really are just very slow lol.
Im really excited to see what the talk Rose and her Mom will have, ive always wanted to read that moment but im going to have to wait :(And adrian i hope he finds someone because i can"t really see Adrian with Rose. I could even be okay with Rose finding someone else but not Adrian lol.
The fact that Lissa and Christain have broken up, i think they neeeded that break because it seems like she took him for granted but they will be back together so no wories on that. I also wasn't surprised that Alberta knew about Rose and Dimitri either.
I loved that RM added snippets of things that weren't elaborated in the other books.
