I think this "quandary" will only be mentioned once. It's entirely out of Rose's character, and all that's been drummed into her, to ever contemplate a life as a Strigoi. It's a red herring. Unless.....unless being a Strigoi is something that can be controlled....

That's true, we don't really know what strigoi are like, all we know is their reputation given by the dhampirs and moroi, as evil and whatnot.
But now with Dimitri being strigoi, maybe we will get to see if that reputation holds true or if there is more to it than that...

NOOOOO!!!! I was so hoping it was gonna be a lie, that Dimitri's not really a Strigoi. I sure hope things work out for Rose and Dimitri. I really love them as a couple.

I get what you mean. I think that would be a logical occurance too, I mean I just can't really see where else it could, like what other direction. There needs to be a good ending! Although, isn't there a 5th book? Maybe we will be left with another cliff hanger and Rose and Dimitri won't even reunite in this one, maybe it will just be about Rose trying to find him....

RM actually has 6 books planned. I don't know if I can take it if Rose doesn't get back together with Dimitri in the next book! Then again, what the heck else is she gonna write about in 2 more books? IMO, Lissa and Christian are too young to get married and have little Moroi children.

I don't think I could take it either (if they didn't get back together somehow in BP) and then have to wait another year or so for the next book!

I almost wish I hadn't started this series sometimes. At least with Twilight (*ducking!*) when I started reading them, it was complete. Like this with VA...and also at the time with Harry Potter and even with Vampire Diaries...the stories aren't done so now that I've read them, I have to wait. Then that means, too, that I have to re-read so that I remember what the heck happened.

Hey, that's right. Good point. And Queen Tatiana is still a factor, too. She may really try to force a marriage between Lissa and Adrian.

I wonder if, when RM decides to end the series, there will be a big-a$$ war between Strigoi and Moroi/Dhampirs. Like a battle to end all battles. Or would that be a cliché?

[b]I think that the whole Dimitri storyline could go two ways, we could have the whole "Buffy/Angel" thing where she has to kill him (I'm hoping this doesn't happen) or, we could have Lissa, Christian and Adrian follow Rose. Rose and Christian would have to fight Dimitri get him unconscious and Lissa and Adrian could heal him. But with all things there could be a price for this, because Adrian is weaker when it comes to healing he could maybe be the sacrifice for healing Dimitri, meaning that Adrian will die, he has already shown weakness in the previous two books. However the fifth VA book is called Spirit Bound, so if that is a clue to what happens I have no idea. But its killing me having to wait, roll on to the 25th August so we can find out what happens!

Yeah, that's a good theory! And if Adrian died, Lissa would probably try to heal him too.. Maybe the whole "Spirit Bound" title is about Adrian and Lissa? But I definately hope it's about Rose and Dimitri!

what if its not meant as sariface herself as in becoming Strigoi but as in sarifacing herself, talking a chance and walking the in the world of the dead to find his soul?

i hadnt thought of this until i read it. but its a readlly good point. she has to be shadow kissed for a reason. can she go and get his soul. i want so badly for rose and dimitri to be together that i will cling to this until the book comes out i think.

lol I'm with you Little_Dhampir. That's exactly what I'm hoping will happen. Rose's abilities must be there for a reason. And RM wouldn't include that little bit about the world of death anyway if it wasn't important.
